Guangxi Chen is a Los Angeles–based writer and director whose work focuses on character-driven stories that explore identity, memory, and emotional isolation. He received his MFA in Film & Television Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

His films and screenplays have received recognition from several international festivals and competitions, including the Gold Remi Award at WorldFest-Houston and the Platinum Award for Best Narrative Screenplay at the Independent Shorts Awards. His short film Forgotten Summer was named a finalist at the Austin Film Festival.

Guangxi believes the most compelling stories emerge from a balance between drama and reality, grounding emotional conflict in recognizable human experiences. He is currently developing several original screenplays, including Genius’ Club, a high-concept feature that combines a coming-of-age story with a zombie narrative set in a high-school environment.
